ResNet Wired Network Access (also called ResNet Standard) is a "wired" network that allows access from residence hall rooms, Stone Ridge Commons, and Seavers suites.

Each student has a separate Ethernet jack and a surge protected power source in his/her residence hall room or apartment. These high-speed network connections offer students many benefits over traditional dial-up modem connections to the University computing environment. The Ethernet connections in each room are up to 300 times faster than a 28.8 Kbps modem, do not use a phone line, and provide 24-hour access to the University network and the Internet. Each connection runs at 100 Mbps speed.
